We're rebuilding the Whimsy Forge member experience as a native iOS and Android app. These are two visual directions for the home screen — same content, same layout, two different color themes, each with a light and dark mode. We'd love your gut reaction.
A warm, paper-and-ink theme. Light mode feels like reading a journal in daylight — cream paper, deep ink, soft bronze details. Dark mode feels like opening that same journal by candlelight — rich brown-black with cream type and warm gold. Members' photos bring the saturated color; the chrome stays warm and quiet.
A clean, content-first theme. Pure grayscale — black, white, and shades in between. Buttons and active states use weight and contrast rather than color. Light feels bright and editorial; dark is near-black, restrained. Members' photos and the small guild tags (Lunar Acolyte, Bloodbound, etc.) are the only places color appears.
